FREE pints of beer are being used as bait to help lure teams into entering the first Trowbridge wheelbarrow race.
Teams of up to six people will dash around six pubs in the quickest time possible to help raise money for the town's carnival committee.
The race, set for May 24, will start at Chicago Rock Caf moving onto Sir Issac Pitman, the Kings Arms, the White Swan, the Carpenters Arms and finish at the Civic Hall.
Each team will have to raise at least £30 in sponsorship.
Carnival committee member Steve Nash said: "They can build their own wheelbarrow or borrow one but it must have the standard one wheel.
"I am sure people won't be getting drunk they will be sweating it off on the way."
Children who enter will get a free coke instead of a pint.
