A LETTER signed by Elizabeth I is one of the latest exhibits to go on show at the record office in Trowbridge.
The letter, which summons Wiltshire aristocrat Edward Seymour, to a meeting to discuss Mary Queen of Scots, is one of several documents on show.
Steve Hobbs, Wiltshire County Council Archivist, said: "The exhibition features some very interesting documents, including a letter signed by Queen Elizabeth I. The letter was recently deposited with the record office by Edward Seymour's descendent, the present Duke of Somerset."
Another exhibit is a letter describing a battle between the English and the French at Nova Scotia, Canada in 1758.
The exhibition will be run until the end of August.
