A TROWBRIDGE businessman is offering a £500 reward to help catch a vandal who blasted holes into his shop window with a mystery weapon.

Silas Freeman, of Safe and Sound UK Ltd in Church Walk, said vandals have been targeting his store since January.

In the latest attack on Tuesday night the offenders punched holes into a plate glass window causing £1,500 worth of damage.

Employees noticed the damage on Wednesday morning when they arrived at the office.

Mr Freeman, whose recruitment company specialises in supplying security guards, believes a disgruntled ex-employee may have committed the attack.

He said: "We have had people urinate through the letterbox and throw kebabs onto the window.

"I want the name of the person who did this. I think it could be an ex-employee.

"What annoys me is that there are no security cameras in Church Walk so there is no way we can identify the offender."

Mr Freeman said the damage was caused between 7pm Tuesday and 6am Wednesday.

Forensic experts examined the premises on Wednesday but came up with few clues.

Mr Freeman said he would only pay out the reward for information leading to a conviction. Call him on (01225) 774008 or contact Trowbridge police.
