GOALKEEPING coach Ian Diamond has converted lbs into £s after losing more than two stone in five months.
Mr Diamond, 55, a coach for Trowbridge Town, beat his target losing 31lbs in a sponsored slim.
He said: "I lost two stone even with Christmas in the middle, mostly by cutting down and more exercise.
"I found it difficult but it was good to be able to hand over the money."
He raised the money through sponsorship and a collection at the football club's games.
Mr Diamond said: "I am very pleased and would like to thank everybody for their support, especially the football supporters and people who rang up after seeing what I was doing in the Wiltshire Times.
"The money will go towards a new mobile CT scanner for the hospital."
He presented the cheque to June Dallimore, of Trowbridge Hospital League of Friends, at one of the club's matches.
