MOTORCYCLE stunt duo Andy Hobbs and Kristian Duke from Swindon have been rubbing shoulders with the stars on the set of a new movie.

Both Andy, 36, and Kristian, 29, the son of Swindon Speedway star Barry Duke, are part of the Over The Top motorcycle stunt team recently rated as the top stunt show in the country.

They were starting rehearsals for a new film Tooth, ahead of filming which starts on June 2.

The film centres around the adventures of a tooth fairy and stars include Richard E Grant, Jerry Hall, Stephen Fry and Harry Enfield.

Former Wimbledon hard man Vinnie Jones is cast in the role of Extractor, the film's main villain. Speaking from the Pinewood Studios set, former speedway rider Andy said: "We are both having a really great time. Although we have both done some small bits of filming for television, this is the first time that we have done any thing for a big film.

"You don't get opportunities like this too often so we have grabbed our chance with both hands.

"We are sharing a trailer with Richard E Grant and Jerry Hall at the moment.

"In the film, we both play bad guys.

"We are security guards who have to chase the tooth fairy, who is played by 10-year-old Yasmin Paige. We get a chance to do various stunts on our quad bikes such as riding on two wheels, doing wheelies and that sort of thing. It beats working in an office."

Fellow stunt rider Kristian Duke said: "It is not that difficult or dangerous really, we have to take much bigger risks when we do our show.

"We are certainly a big hit with the kids. They all want us to let them have a go on the quad bikes. It is a lot of fun."

Film fans will be able to see the pair in action when the film is released by Cherry Productions in December.
