SWINDON FESTIVAL OF LITERATURE, REVIEW: WRITERS, Michele Roberts and Nicci Gerrard, took a 'novel' approach to their talk by interviewing each other about their books and writing styles.

Around 50 people piled into the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery to hear the ideas, inspirations behind the writings of the two novelists.

Prize-winning author of no fewer than 11 works of fiction, Michele Roberts is reckoned to be one of the most industrious and exciting of contemporary novelists. And it's no wonder with a background of reviewing, broadcasting, and being a creative writing teacher, she has been described as 'Woolf at her most flirtatious.' As a prolific reviewer and writer of six collaborative novels under the pseudonym, Nicci French inspired the audience with her fascinating insights.
