Having recently taken the first step on the property ladder and moving into my first home in Stratton, my first priorities were to make the house livable. After several months of hard labour, I finally settled in.
Now with expendable income left over, looked forward to spending money on all those nice to have things in life, Broadband Internet access being top of my priority list.
I quickly logged onto www.adslguide.org.uk to find out if the Stratton exchange was kitted out for broadband. To my dismay it wasn't.
Back in January over 150 more pre-registrations were required in order for the exchange to reach its trigger level of 350.
At the time of writing this article the number of pre-registrations have reached 308. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! So, come on residents of Stratton! Log on to your current ISP and register your interests in broadband ADSL.
All that is usually required is your telephone number and email address. Once Stratton exchange reaches its trigger level of 350, BT will ask the ISP's to turn registration requests into firm orders before upgrading the exchange.
