SUPPORTERS of the Council for Voluntary Service in North Wiltshire will explain their work in Wootton Bassett Library on Wednesday, June 4.
The event coincides with National Volunteers' Week, which runs from June 1 to 7.
They will talk about ways to volunteer in the area by supporting charities and organisations, such as education, health care and judicial services.
The North Wilts Citizens' Advice Bureau is one service where volunteers can help.
Bureau manager Liz Taylor said: "Without the commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteer staff, the bureau would not be able to offer such a comprehensive service.
Our volunteers receive full training and support."
CVS North Wiltshire chief executive Janice Fortune said: "Volunteering is a two-way process. Without them many people would go without care, information and friendship. In return the rewards can give new skills, experiences and a feeling of belonging and new friends. Volunteering offers some-thing special."
