Cirencester's Youth Section held their annual meeting and presentation of club awards at the club's Whiteway ground.

In a season which saw Cirencester's under nines, 11s and 12s win their County Festival age groups, more than 250 boys represented the club during the season a total of 240 matches.

The Gavin White-Thompson shield for coach of the year was presented to the under nines' triumvirate of Henry Corp, Simon Collyer-Bristow and Kerry White.

The Marshall and Jarvis shield for coaching was presented to Tim Woolven and Graeme Muir, who coached the Under 14 squad.

The Bunnie Loveridge Fair Play Shield was won by the under sevens and received by their coaches, Haimish Mead and David Doyle.

The Most Improved Player Cup was won by Sean Loveridge who played for Gloucestershire Under 15s throughout the season.

At the meeting, Peter Barefoot stepped down as fixture secretary, while Haimish Mead was appointed vice-chairman.

n GLOUCESTER'S French star Olivier Azam and former player Simon Mannix, now at Bridgend, were on hand to present certificates to Cirencester's minis after their end-of-season sevens tournament.

The Tim Thompson Shield for overall effort and good attitude during the season went to under nine hooker Will Ford.
