The big winners in the Cirencester & District Youth League picked up their trophies at the annual presentation on Sunday and then allowed some of their rivals a taste of glory in the end of season six-a-side tournament.
The champions of each division were crowned at Oaksey but the traditional six-a-side competition that follows saw a few underdogs step out of the shadows to claim some silverware of their own.
Malmesbury Under 13s were arguably the team of the season, winning every game of the domestic campaign.
A 3-2 league win over Cricklade on Friday night sealed their 100 per cent record much to the pleasure of manager Steve Whiting. He said: "It's a fantastic achievement for our small squad.
"It's been a long campaign, and I am so proud of the way in which the lads have played with such style and professionalism."
But Whiting's troops were unable to complete a clean sweep with victory in the sixes.
That honour went to Liden Community who continued their fine end of season form to upset the odds in superb style taking the trophy without conceding a goal. Liam Stovell was on target as Liden beat Highworth 1-0 in the final.
Mitel were another side unable to seal a treble after defeat in the under 14 tournament.
With the league and cup already in the bag, Mitel were expected to claim a third prize, but league runners-up Malmesbury inflicted some revenge with victory over their rivals in the tournament semis.
Malmesbury went on to defeat last season's treble winners Highworth 1-0 in the final. Lorien Bardwell's goals had fired Highworth to the final but they were unable to hold on to the title they claimed last season.
Eldene were the surprise victors in the under 12 section.
After playing second fiddle to Cirencester Juniors in the league, Eldene took the Oaksey consolation prize with a 1-0 win over Ashton Keynes in the final.
So it was left to Liden Under 15s to keep the form book intact and complete a memorable season by sweeping the board.
Their 1-0 win over Malmesbury in the tournament showpiece made it three trophies out of three after sealing the domestic double.
Matt Boakes scored the decisive goal to keep father and manager Les happy.
"I'm well pleased, it's been a great season for us," said Boakes Senior.
"The lads have been superb and I can't praise them enough."
