CHILDREN at all Malmesbury's Schools did their bit to save the planet for future generations last week.
Showing the adults how it's done, the children from St Joseph's Primary School, Malmesbury School, Burton Hill House School and Malmesbury Primary School collected piles of paper during the Malmesbury Schools' Recycling Week.
Children from Malmesbury School said they enjoyed the experience.
Ashleigh Renshaw said: "I think it is a very good idea for people to recycle because when we arrived on earth it was clean and that is the way we should leave it."
James Swayne said: "I think it is good we are reusing it, not just throwing it away. I think more people should do it."
Scarlett Lewis said: "Recycling is a great way to keep the world a healthy place to be in. We just need more people interested so the world will be a better place for everyone."
Teacher Lizzie Cook of St Joseph's Primary School said children found it worthwhile.
She said: "The children have had a fantastic time learning about recycling, they have designed posters to promote recycling around the school and they even did an assembly to the older children all about recycling. They have learnt a lot."
Headteacher of Malmesbury School Jeff Staton said the week had been great fun for the children and added to its initiative of recycling puter cartridges.
