CANNABIS and hundreds of suspected ecstasy tablets, worth £1,200 were seized in a drugs raid on a home in Malmesbury High Street on Friday night.
Ten police officers, acting on a tip-off raided a flat above opticians Haine and Smith at 8pm.
Now Sergeant Gavin Williams is warning other drug dealers more raids could follow.
He said: "We are actively targeting people who deal in illegal drugs. Drugs are a menace. Drugs fuel all sorts of crime and we would welcome any information anybody has. This would be held in the strictest confidence."
Two people, both in their teens, were arrested during the raid, which lasted about an hour and a half.
A woman was found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis, cautioned, and later released.
"For Malmesbury this was a substantial find," said Sgt Williams. "Drugs are no more prevalent here than anywhere else but we give the Shop A Pusher campaign strong support."
Shop A Pusher is a confidential drugs hotline set up by the police and the Gazette to help fight the drugs menace. Although it was not a tip-off from Shop A Pusher that led to the raid, Sgt Williams encouraged anyone with information about drug dealing to use the special line.
The Shop A Pusher line was relaunched in April and the number is (01249) 449694.
