WILTSHIRE completed their programme of warm-up matches for the season with games against Hampshire 2nd XI at the Rose Bowl on Wednesday and against Dorset at Dean Park, Bournemouth on Sunday.
Against Hampshire 2nds Wiltshire won the toss and put the home side in to bat and they took advantage by scoring 303 for five off their 50 overs, with Lamb scoring 151 not out and Hammond 71.
These two put on 126 for the third wicket. Baqar Rizvi took two for 38.
In reply Wiltshire had reached 48 for the loss of Russell Rowe when rain intervened.
When the match restarted Wiltshire's revised target meant they had to score a further 155 off 22 overs which proved too stiff a task and they ended with 153 for seven leaving Hampshire 2nd XI winners by 50 runs. For Wiltshire, Jimmy Taylor scored 32, Olly Bailey 28, Paul Draper 24 and Baqar Rizvi 24.
On Sunday, Wiltshire travelled to Dean Park, Bournemouth on a day when the weather forecast suggested a full day's play was unlikely.
Water had got under the covers leaving wet patches on the pitch after the previous day's rain and the outfield was very slow.
Wiltshire won the toss and as they had fielded first in the other warm up matches and despite the conditions decided to bat.
Batting was difficult and only Russell Rowe (43) and James Hibberd (16 not out) reached double figures, and when rain finally came to finish the match, Wiltshire had reached 107 for eight off 47.2 overs.
Wiltshire's next match is their first championship match against Wales at Pontypridd on June 1, 2 and 3.
