SOUTH Wilts cricket teams all saw their fixtures sabotaged for a variety of reasons on Saturday.
The firsts entertained Calmore at Lower Bemer-ton, but the ECB Southern Electric Premier League Division One match was rained off after just 90 minutes due to heavy rain.
Calmore were 64-2 off 21 overs when the heavens opened.
It was a similar story for the club's seconds at Ventnor, with the opposition 106-2 off 26 overs.
Meanwhile, the third team's match with Penton was postponed as their opponents instead opted to watch Southampton in the FA Cup Final, prompting the fixture to be declared void.
The fourths was rained off without a ball being bowled at home to Andover.
On Saturday, Rob Wade's first team, still looking for their first win of the season, visit Portsmouth who are captained by ex-Hants all-rounder Lee Savident.
They also have current Hampshire player Law-rence Prittipaul and ex-county players Matt Keech and Jon Ayling in their ranks.
South Wilts' side will be selected from: Wade, Draper, Rowe, Laney, Caines, Glasson, Lamb, Senneck, A. Holewell, Smith, Seeary, J. Tomlinson.
The seconds entertain Havant II in a Southern Electric Premier League Division Three fixture which starts at 1pm.
WILTSHIRE completed their programme of warm up matches for theseason with a visit to the Rose Bowl on Wednesday to take on Hampshire II, and a trip to Dean Park on Sunday to face Dorset.
Hampshire's second string hit 303-5 off their 50 overs after being put into bat. In reply, Wiltshire had reached 48 for the loss of skipper Russell Rowe when rain intervened. A revised target meant they had to score a further 155 off 22 overs which proved too stiff a task.
They eventually closed at 153-7 - 50 runs short of their target.
Rain also affected Sunday's match at Bournemouth where only Rowe, 43, and James Hibberd, 16 not out, had reached double figures before rain stopped play with Wiltshire 107-8.
The county's next match is their Championship opener against Wales at Pontypridd on June 1-3.
