A GIRLS' night out at Wootton Bassett Memorial Hall raised more than £1,124 for Break-through Breast Cancer in Wiltshire.

A packed audience enjoyed a fashion show of ballgowns and evening outfits by Hilary Evett, of Dressed for the Occasion, hats by Veronica Hammond, of House of Hats, and saris, shown by Sushma Patel, who demonstrated how they should be worn.

The annexe was filled with craft stalls which featured jewellery, lingerie, cosmetics, candles and ceramics.

Comperes were local radio presenters Pauline Gillespie and Shelley Keen.

A Breakthrough Breast Cancer support group, chiefly for anyone who has been diagnosed with the condition, meets on the third Monday each month at Croft Sports Centre, Old Town, Swindon, at 7.30pm.

There is also a fundraising group, which meets on the first Monday each month at the same venue, at 7.45pm.
