Traffic came to a standstill when a 20-tonne lorry carrying timber caught fire between junctions 17 and 16 of the M4 on Monday.
Fire crews from Chippenham and Swindon arrived at around 9.30am to find the lorry's load and cabin alight. The fire caused long tailbacks on the M4 and the A4.
