THE new leader of West Wiltshire District Council has named his cabinet.
Cllr Tony Phillips, who was elected as leader on May 14, has tried to form a multi-party cabinet.
The council was left in no overall control following the local government elections on May 1.
The Liberal Democrats have declined an invitation to be part of the new administration, while the two new Labour councillors do not yet feel able to take on a role within the cabinet.
Individual portfolios, which cover the services each member will be responsible for, have yet to be decided.
The cabinet members are: leader, Tony Phillips (Ind); deputy leader, Graham Payne (Con); Ernie Clark (Ind), Michael Mounde (Con), Christopher Newbury (Ind), Richard Wiltshire (Con) and Roy While (Con).
