FOUR pubs were given license checks on Friday as part of an on-going programme in west Wiltshire.
The checks were run jointly by West Wiltshire District Council licensing department, police and the fire brigade to ensure the venues meet health and safety standards.
In Warminster, checks were made on the Bath Arms, the John Barleycorn and the Ivory Rooms. The Ludlow Arms in Westbury was also visited.
PC John Pearse, licensing officer with Warminster police, said: "We are required by law to do these visits quarterly. We were happy with the way they went. Everyone was very co-operative."
A spokesman for West Wilts District Council said: "A couple of minor issues came up and we are dealing with them. The checks revealed nothing major so we are not taking any kind of formal action. We like them to see we take the job seriously."
