YOUTH FOOTBALL: A PARTY of 34 boys from Bradford on Avon FC flew to Malta yesterday for a week long tour.
The boys, from the club's under 11s, 12s and 13s sections, will be taking part in a two-day festival against teams from Malta and Italy.
They will also play friendly matches, including one against Maltese champions FC Birkirkara.
They will attend a reception at the presidential palace in Malta where they are due to meet the Maltese president.
The boys, their families and friends have been working hard since September to raise funds, including a sponsored litter collection around Bradford and a cross-country run.
The boys are pictured outside the Rising Sun, Bradford, whose landlords Dave and Liz Northeast donated 50 per cent of their pub tote towards the tour costs.
