WARMINSTER Town are looking for a new manager after axing club stalwart Andy Crabtree, pictured above.
Crabtree, 43, took over from Gerry Pearson at the beginning of the 2001-2002 season, but was unable to prevent the club being relegated from the Screwfix Direct League as they collected just nine points.
Last season they failed to challenge for promotion from the Wiltshire League and finished eighth.
Club spokesman Martin Bridle said: "We appreciate the time and effort Mr Crabtree has given to Warminster Town Football Club over the past couple of years. His period in charge has been anything but easy.
"Circumstances off the pitch have in the past often dictated those on it and consequently we suffered relegation from the Screwfix League in 2001/02.
Crabtree, who played more than 300 games for Warminster, said: "I thought I was doing a reasonable job, but the committee obviously thought otherwise. I've shown the club a lot of loyalty, but I'm not going to fall out with anyone over it.
Applications for the manager's job should be sent to club chairman Peter Russell at Treetops, 115 Pound Street, Warminster, BA12 8NS, or by telephoning (01985) 214133.
