The Ford Focus remains the best-selling new car for the fourth month in a row and still stands resolute in the No 1 position, according to a recent survey.
Car supermarket, Autolink, published the latest People's Choice chart at the end of last month, revealing that although the Focus is still at the top, it's facing stiff competition from the Renault Megane, up six places to no 2 and the VW Golf, up six places to no 3.
Meanwhile, in the used car charts, the Vauxhall Astra has rocketed to the number one spot, followed closely by the Toyota Avensis, relegating the Ford Focus to number three.
Ford may have slipped from the top spot, but it still has four models in the top six.
The two charts for both new and used cars represent the cars Autolink has sold over the previous month and are considered by the company to be a more accurate reflection of what people want, because they do not include fleet sales.
