TWO members of South Wraxall Parish Council have retired after a combined career of nearly 50 years.
Patrick Flinn, 76, had been on the council since 1978 and had been chairman since 1979. He said: "It was high time I passed the council on for someone else to deal with, but it has been interesting."
Charles Loxton has been on the council for more than 20 years and has served as vice-chairman since 1996.
The village's Golden Jubilee weather vane, designed by Jacqueline Loxton, was set in place on April 23 and was financed largely from the profits of the South Wraxall Village book.
