VISION for Trowbridge has yet another new name with the partners behind the project working towards what they are calling an Urban Design Framework for the county town.
Consultants employed by the partnership have begun reviewing work already carried out and have until the West Wilts Show in July to come up with ideas to put to the public for consultation.
When a particular approach is chosen they then have until Sept-ember to prepare a full report including an overall framework for town centre and masterplans for sites or small areas. Jeff Bishop, one of the consultancy team, met members of the town's Neighbourhood Partner-ship and Trowbridge 20:20 committees on Tuesday. The two groups have now formed a partnership called Trow-bridge Future.
Mr Bishop said: "The framework will not start afresh; it will build on existing local plan policies and the recent Vision for Trowbridge work.
Funding for the consultancy work has come from a £250,000 set aside by West Wiltshire Dis-trict Council and £359,000 from the South West Regional Develop-ment Agency.
