ALL of Shaun Taylor's dreams came true during Town's famous 4-3 Wembley play-off final victory over Leicester quite literally.
The rock-like centre-half had three footballing aspirations as a youngster and all of them came to fruition on that day 10 years ago.
He said: "My ambition as a player was to play at Wembley, score in a major cup final and get to the Premiership and ironically I achieved all three in one afternoon."
A trademark Taylor header fulfiled part two of Taylor's prophesy and put Town 3-0 up.
"I though we had done it when I scored.
"I must have been up for a set-piece that had broken down and I just remember this aimless ball being floated into the area.
"Kevin Poole, the Leicester keeper, was favourite to get there, but I just steamed in and threw myself at it and it's gone in."
Taylor is now reserve team coach at Bristol City.
And his recent play-off experiences have not been as memorable, but he remains a staunch supporter of the system.
"City haven't had the best of luck in the play-offs, and we went out again this year but I'm still a fan of them.
"Back in 1993 we finished some way behind Portsmouth in the table, but we eventually went up, and they didn't.
"People say it isn't fair but it's certainly exciting and the final in 1993 was up there with the Charlton versus Sunderland game as one of the best."
