JOINING the EEC is the worst thing ever to befall Britain.

£1,250,000 of British taxpayers money is transferred into European Union bank accounts every hour of every day to subsidise French farmers and Spanish fishermen, to underpin the 'fragile' economies of Portugal and Greece, and to keep an army of EU bureaucrats in the luxury to which they have become accustomed.

£3bn of our money was spent on asylum seekers last year. Since 1997, more than £1bn has been spent on health care in poor countries. £4bn is given to Third World countries every year. Yet there is no money for nurses or firemen here, and we cannot afford more dialysis machines. Up to 7,000 Britons die prematurely each year for need of dialysis treatment.

Average dairy farm incomes have plummeted from a miserable £23,000 in 2001 to a disastrous £14,500 last year.

Britons wake up, enough is more than enough. The EEC should be abolished.
