Purton finally gained their first Division One victory when they inflicted a six-wicket defeat on visiting Nationwide House.
The visitors scored 198-4 with Kevin Bates scoring 67 and Stuart Archer 46.
In reply Mark Gardner's 83, ably supported by Martin Sanson 31 not out and Mike Bee (36) saw Purton home with just three balls to spare.
Bath Civil Service bowled Calne out for just 80 and, in a rain-affected clash had a reduced target of 47 in 25 overs which they duly achieved for the loss of one wicket.
At Burbage & ER visitors Beanacre were 112-8 from 43 overs when rain caused an abandonment.
Games at Collingbourne and Potterne never started as a third of the league programme was wiped out by the weather.
Division Two
Lechlade entertained Buscot Park and were dismissed for 134 as Ian Mills took 7-41 in 14 overs.
Roger Pettifer (53) and Nick Smith (33) saw Lechlade well placed at 99-2 before a collapse left them at 119-9.
John Morton (34), Hamish Millar (30) and Robin Knox (30 not out) steered Buscot to a six wicket win with nearly 14 overs to spare.
Cooper-Avon Tyres scored a daunting 234-9 at Highworth, with Dave Light making 93, Derek Wilde 78 and V.J. Amritchaz taking 6-28 in eight overs.
Rich Jory's 3-23 in 15 helped dismiss Highworth for 84 in 39.3 overs.
At Swindon Civil Service, Mike Giddings (45) and Shaun Smith (35) helped the home side to 159-9 against Great Bedwyn.
Andy Turnell (60) and Chris Blundy (61) spearheaded the Bedwyn reply which saw them to a five-wicket victory.
Urchfont scored 203-8 at home to Minety, for whom Mike Poole took 5-30. Ian Burt responded with 5-23 as, despite 56 from Alan Farr, Minety were bowled out for 149.
Division Three
A low scoring game at Moredon Royal Oak saw visiting Bathford triumph by 37 runs.
Bathford were bowled out for 116, Alan Murray 26 top scoring as Mo Faroulk took 7-22 in seven overs.
He then top scored with 19 as Moredon were bowled out for 79; Murray taking 4-24 in 13.4 overs and Mike Gale 2-18 in 12.
Spye Park bowled visiting Wroughton Wranglers out for 140 with John Beal taking 5-24 in 14.4 overs. However they then slumped to 91 all out.
An exciting game at Wanborough resulted in a narrow two-run victory for visiting Heytesbury.
They made 127 all out with Andy Clinning taking 3-40 and Andy Fraser 5-18. Despite a fighting 33 from Andy Thompson Wanborough were restricted to 125-8.
Another close result was at Swindon where the home side's third team won by five runs against Seagry. Matthew Gunn's 50 anchored Swindon to 166-7, Will Tidmarsh taking 3-49 in 15 overs and Alan Lewis 2-21 in eight.
Seagry were then held to 161-9, with Neil Couling (3-36 in 15) and Paul McDonald (3-49 in 11) the pick of the Swindon bowlers.
Division Four
The surprise result of the day was the home defeat of Corsham 3rd at Bradford Town.
The visitors made 159 all out with Vic Edwards scoring 50 and Mark Unwin taking 6-39 in 14.4 overs.
Corsham only managed 131-9 in reply, Tony Laws taking 4-31
At Wilcot, visiting Lambourn were bowled out for 78 with Tim Mister 3-17 in seven and Simon Unitts 3-19 in 15 doing the damage.
But Paul Annetts took 4-22 in 15 and Ken Read 3-11 in 10 as Wilcot slumped to 61 all out in 32 overs.
Division Five
John Wiltshire's 37 anchored a Lavington score of 111 all out at Buscot Park 2nd for whom Willy Townsend took 3-25 in 11 overs and Glen Townsend 3-21 in eight.
Des Williams' 59 not out and Andy Moreby's 31 helped Buscot to a comfortable eight-wicket victory.
At Keevil, Burbage & ER 2nd scored 156 all out (Paul Swatton 71 and Ben Gunstone 5-18). Keevil were 70-1 in reply when the heavens opened and the game was abandoned.
Chippenham 3rd beat their Devizes counterparts by eight runs, Ray Bullen scoring 52 in their 174 all out as Tom Hickey took 3-36 and Paul Pitman 4-29.
Pitman added 22, Hickey 24 and Lou Rigley 45, but Pete Hazlehurst with 3-24 and Chris Day 3-33 saw Devizes bowled out for 166 with just three balls remaining.
Nettleton were bowled out for just 101 by Purton 2nd, for whom Chris Newman took 4-16.
Ian Witt then had 4-38 in 15 overs as Purton (Imran Khan 38 not out), closed on 97-9.
Division Six
Westinghouse's Andy Day took 3-16 and Paul Grace 3-46 for the home teams 2nd's to restrict Wootton Bassett 3rd to 132-8, only to subside to 77 all out in reply.
All Cannings scored 152 all out at Cooper-Avon Tyres 2nd and, in a rain-affected game, the home side reached their revised target of 141 for the loss of seven wickets.
A fine 110 from Pete Corbett helped Biddestone 2nd to 234-6 against visiting Goatacre 3rd, who they bowled out for 78.
At Calne 2nd, John Guthrie (34) and Scott Shepherd (22) helped the hosts to 118 alll out against Trowbridge, for whom John Brown took 7-49. Pete Knight's 3-19 in 10 overs and Brown's 3-6 helped bowl them out for 62.
Lacock made 148 all out at Nationwide House with Andy Doel 38 top scoring, Martin Harman 3-36 in 12 overs and Nigel Stone 3-29 in eight the pick of the attack.
Freddy Roofe (62 not out) and Jason Griffiths (42) the saw the hosts to an eight-wicket win.
Division Seven
Beanacre 2nd's John Walton took 6-23 as they dismissed Dauntsey Gentlemen 2nd for 133.
Mel Camish responded with 6-35 as Beanacre could muster only 70 all out in reply.
Division Eight
Blunsdon 2nd made 164-6 (Kevin Aubrey 56, Mick Walker 39) against Highworth 2nd for whom Max Miller took 4-35.
Aubrey's 4-16 and 5-18 from Walker then bowled the visitors out for 87, Steve Landis, with 22, top scoring.
A fine 75 from Mel Grant helped Swindon 4th to 169 all out at Biddestone 3rd.
Mick Hutton (48) and James Taylor's 35 not out helped Biddestone to a two-wicket win.
