A WOMAN had a knife held to her throat by a robber who broke into her Nythe home.
The attacker, who had his face covered by a black scarf, demanded cash, but fled when the woman, 24, said that her husband would be home soon.
The man broke into the wom-an's home in Creiff Close at 8.25am on Sunday.
He took the knife from the woman's kitchen before threatening her.
"The woman was not hurt by in the ordeal but she was badly shaken," said Det Sgt Kevin Rowles.
The man is white, between 20 and 25 years old, and wore a Nike baseball cap.
He had blue eyes, shaved brown hair and also had a large red spot above his left eye.
He wore a plain blue sweatshirt, dirty stone washed jeans and well-worn white trainers.
Anyone who saw the man entering or leaving the house should call Det Sgt Rowles on Swindon 528111.
