The Norman Barnes Golf and Social Day, run by the bookmaking fraternity at Isle of Purbeck, takes place for the tenth time on June 3.
Last year's event raised £6,000 for David Flavell's Leukameia Busters Charity and the organizers, headed by Peter Jolliffe, are hoping to exceed that sum this year.
The three-man medal, with one score to count, was won by Andy Jones, Vince Joyce and Micky Court last year.
Norman Barnes was a well-respected Swanage bookmaker and is remembered even now in top racing circles.
Last year's event was a sell-out and this year's seems to be heading the same way.
