JUNE, BATH: A season of drama performances by eminent theatre and opera director, Sir Peter Hall begins late next month.
The Peter Hall Company 2003 season consists of actors from three companies presenting the plays.
The first play, Design for Living runs from Wednesday, June 25 to Saturday, August 9 and is a comedy written by Noel Coward about sex, love and lust taking three, free-spirited artists cavorting through London, Paris and New York.
The second play, Betrayal was written by Harold Pinter in 1978 and runs from Friday, July 4 to Friday, August 8. It tells the story of Emma who has had a seven-year affair with her husband's best friend and best man. The play is widely considered to be one of Pinter's finest.
The Fight for Barbara by DH Lawrence is the third play of the season running from Monday, June 30 to Wednesday, August 6 and is an insight into the complexity of personal relationships. This performance will be the first full text presentation of the play.
William Shakespeare's As You Like It is the fourth play of the season running from Wednesday, August 13 to Saturday, August 30 and then Giuseppe Manfridi's Cuckoos runs from Wednesday, July 16 to Saturday, July 26.
The five plays run from June 25 to August 30 at the Theatre Royal in Bath. Tickets are priced between £12 and £27.
