CHILDREN are being invited to Swindon Museum and Art Gallery to take part in a mystery trail around the latest exhibition.
The Drifting Downstream exhibition charts the history of the Wilts and Berks and North Wilts canals and looks forward to future plans to expand Swindon's waterways.
Youngsters are challenged to spot hidden letters around the exhibition, which spell out the name of a canal boat, to win a small prize.
Museum assistant Lorraine Jones explained: "We like to do something like this every half term to encourage children to come into the museum.
"The idea of the trail is to encourage them to look more closely at the exhibits and hopefully learn something along the way."
Other half term activities at the museum include a craft modelling event on Wednesday, Family Tree Folk, where children aged eight to 12 can use their modelling skills to make figures from scraps of wood.
