WHAT will Swindon council fail to do next?
Coate Water has been changed beyond recognition the far side is a drowning waiting to happen, the banks are steep and the water deep.
If a child ran and went headlong even a competent swimmer would have a long swim to find a convenient place to scramble out. The water has a most frightful effluvia, at best one would stand a good chance of catching typhoid.
There are only two lifebelts and none on the left side as one walks around.
A fence of chicken wire could prevent a tragedy.
Also the signposts are dirty and faded and one has to be almost underneath them to be able to read them, particularly if the sun is strong.
Will Swindon ever be a decent town again? The council squanders money on what they know no-one wants and have no money for essentials.
