PUDDIN the sheep has found a new friend, thanks to an appeal by the Gazette.
The pet sheep had been lonely ever since the death of its best friend Pip a few weeks ago.
But two weeks ago, owner Kim Goodridge from Neston made an appeal through the Gazette to find her unhappy sheep a new friend.
"We got lots of calls and accepted one from Crossways Farm in Melksham. He is a little devil but he is so sweet," said Miss Goodridge, 65.
The new sheep is last years' lamb that did not grow fully. "They said it is a ewe but we suspect it is a male. They called it Dwarf but because he is such a menace we have called him Dennis," said Miss Goodridge.
Dennis has now joined forces with Puddin the ewe who is pleased to have another sheep around, but still misses Pip.
Since his arrival, Dennis has been running rings around Puddin and causing havoc in the garden, eating Miss Goodridge's flowers and munching on the bread and butter that the neighbour puts out for the birds in the brambles.
"I would like to thank everyone who phoned. I also want to thank the Gazette for helping me," said Miss Goodridge.
