GOLF student Mark Searle made history when he won the Wiltshire County Championship at Cumberwell Park and Kingsdown at the weekend.
The Salisbury youngster, currently on a golf scholarship at the Tennessee State University, Nashville, carded 72, 75, 70 and 71 to win by four shots, emulating the success of his father, Roger, who has won the county championship nine times in a career spanning five decades.
Mark and Roger are the first father and son winners in the history of the competition.
