REVIEW: STORMY weather failed to dampen the spirit of rock in Pewsey on Saturday.
Jerry Kunkler, the co-organiser of Pewsey's Rock Day, estimated that about 200 people attended but said the event made a small loss.
Mr Kunkler stepped in to run the event after the founder, former sports centre manager Alan Dainton, who later ran the Coopers Arms, left the village to live in Devizes.
Mr Kunkler, licensee at the Moonrakers, shares the organisation with John Holmes, one of the owners of the Coopers Arms.
"It was still a successful day even if people did have to dodge the raindrops and there will be another rock day next year," said Mr Kunkler.
Ten rock bands, one from as far away as the Isle of Wight, played through Saturday afternoon and evening.
Quite a few people took advantage of the new £3 twilight tickets introduced this year which allowed them into any of the ten venues in the evening.
The rock day kicked off at The Crown, in Wilcot Road, with Dr JJ's Blues Band.
It was followed by The Skeeters at the Moonrakers and Dubheart playing at Alfreds.
During the afternoon the John Fenlon Band played at the Coopers Arms and local band Jowdi played at the Football Club.
