RESEARCH by Sainsbury's Bank reveals that while the Bank of England has cut base rate by only 0.25 per cent to 3.75 per cent since December 2001, many savings accounts have cut their interest rates by much more.
The study revealed that over the past 15 months, the average instant access account has slashed its rate by between 0.43 per cent and 0.62 per cent. Figures for notice accounts are between 0.44 per cent and 0.66 per cent
