AN exhibition showcasing all south Wiltshire businesses have to offer is to take place in Salisbury in September.
South Wilts Expo, run by Salisbury & District chamber of commerce and industry, will be held at the City Hall and Salisbury Playhouse on September 10.
It was launched last Wednesday at a lunch reception at the Playhouse, attended by representatives of businesses, the Playhouse, Salisbury City Centre Management and the media.
Salisbury Newspapers - publisher of the Journal and Avon Advertiser series -, Spire FM and Ed Thomas, of exhibition company Displayer, are supporting the event.
Bill Browne, publisher of Salisbury Newspapers, said it was important to support the business community.
"Week in, week out, I am surprised at what's going on in this city," he said.
"When the chamber proposed the possibility of this event, we were more than happy to play a part.
"Because of the effort everyone puts into business in this city, it is important that they get a showcase, and that's what we are doing with Expo.
"It will tell people in the city and the wider community about our businesses and give businesses the opportunity to take part in the biggest networking event we can organise."
