THE heroic actions of the 1st Battalion, the Gloucester-shire Regiment in the Korean War will be honoured at this year's Cotswold Show and Country Fair in Cirencester.
Many of the soldiers involved in the conflict, which happened 50 years ago, were drawn from the Swindon area.
The event, which takes place on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday July 6, in Cirencester Park will commemorate the actions by the county regiment at the Battle of Imjin River.
The highlight of the show will be a fly-past involving a Lockheed T-33 Silver Star and a Fairey Firefly.
Advance tickets cost £7, with £8 charged on the day. Tickets can be bought from the Bathurst Estate Office in Cirencester Park.
