FISH and chip shop owner Robert O'Keeffe is hoping his secret recipes will be attracting Wootton Bassett residents to try the fare at his new shop.
Harbour Fish and Chips is the latest addition to the High Street, bringing the total number of chippies in the town to three.
But the 45-year-old says his fish and chips are a cut above the rest because of his frying techniques, unique batter recipe and top quality fish from the North Atlantic, which is supplied by Cricklade-based company Unique.
He said: "We like to think of it as an upper crust chippy. It has been tastefully decorated on a nautical theme.
"We are very proud what we do here. I just love cooking really nice fish and chips.
His methods have been recognised by the Sea Fish authority, which awarded him the Fish Frying Quality Award for the past three years.
Wootton Bassett Mayoress Marion Sweet officially opened the revamped chip shop.
She said: "We had cod and chips and it was absolutely delicious.
"We also had champagne which I don't think they will be serving everyday.
"It is a very attractive addition to the High Street and it is really nice
Robert, lives in Stratton St Margaret with his wife Ruth, 42, and their three children Lucy, 23, Daniel, 22 and Luke, 15.
The family used to run a fish and chip restaurant in Salisbury, also called the Harbour, but sold the business because they found running a restaurant too hectic.
