A CONFERENCE devoted to improving services for elderly people was set to take place today.
Older people who use council services are due to meet people from a range of organisations at the Hilton Hotel for a seminar called Soft Voices.
Representatives from Swin-don Council's social services and housing department, the Great Western Hospital, the Swindon Primary Care Trust will join the council's Chief Executive Simon Birch and councillors Jemima Milton (Con, Wroughton & Chisel-don) and Maurice Fanning (Lab, Gorse Hill & Pinehurst).
They will all be discussing how to improve service provision for the elderly by coming up with a set of recommendations at the end of the day-long conference.
