The sequel to the Matrix - Matrix Reloaded- has given cinemas across the town one of their busiest weeks of the year so far.
Cineworld at Greenbridge is showing the film every 40 minutes at several screens, with most showings selling out.
Michelle Reid, marketing manager for Cineworld said: "Matrix Reloaded has become a worldwide phenomenon with Swindon definitely join-ing in.
"The cinema has been packed out since its opening day a week ago with no signs of it easing up in the near future.
"Our booking lines have been incredibly busy, with people phoning in from 10am, trying to ensure they get a ticket."
The film has now opened in 62 countries and has taken more than $363.5m.
In the UK, it was the fourth-biggest opening weekend for a film, with £13 million taken.
