WORK is now under way on the final section of a major cycle route to get people out on their bikes in the countryside around Chippenham and Lacock.
North Wiltshire District Council has begun work on the section of the cycle path from Mortimores Wood, Pewsham Way that will eventually run through Reybridge and Lacock.
The route is part of National Cycle Route 4, which in time will link up with routes to Bath, Bristol and Gloucester.
The North Wiltshire Rivers route cycleway between Chippenham and Avebury is finished and is already proving popular with cyclists from the centre of Chippenham and Calne.
