THREE burnt out cars have been removed from land near a bank in Melksham.
Following complaints from residents, Cllr Gordon Cox helped to remove the three rusting vehicles from the back of Natwest bank in Lowbourne.
He is concerned about the number of cars being dumped in the area and hopes to put a stop to the problem by working more closely with the police and West Wiltshire District Council.
Cllr Cox said: "The cars at the back of the bank had been there for quite a while now and it looked like a dumping ground.
"There were a few cars dumped down the road from me in Bowerhill. Educating people not to do it is the only answer to the problem."
