GREAT to hear about The Shires' loos being refurbished long overdue, but my gripe is the long period of inconvenience and the timing.
They are to be out of use during part of the summer holidays, when more families will be out and about, with only seven actual toilets available to the public, highlighting the shortage in Trowbridge generally, especially near the station.
What impression does this give to visitors during the various summer events?
The Castle Place toilets obviously can't cope with the present usage, as they are often in a state, with no paper and rubbish strewn around would a bin help? It is also in need of refurbishment as water is often seen leaking on the floor and yes, I have mentioned it to relevant staff.
Is the solution then for families to buy a meal at Wetherspoons or Chicago Rock in order to use facilities?
