A TEENAGER from Trowbridge has beaten 4,000 acting hopefuls to a place at the National Youth Theatre.
Laura Wright, 18, applied for the place and was one of the 38 youngsters selected up and down the country to join the prestigious theatre school.
Miss Wright, who studies at Wiltshire College Trowbridge, was over the moon.
She said: "I have been acting since I was 13, and have loved working with local theatre groups like the Arc Theatre."
To get the place, Laura had to audition in Bristol and again in London.
Laura will now go to a summer school workshop in London where she will spend two weeks honing her acting techniques.
