CHILDREN at Newtown Primary School in Trowbridge have been learning all about art and great artists.
Professional community arts company No Added Sugar came into the school to work with youngsters of all ages as part of the school's art week.
Tim Carroll and Toni Robinson from the arts group used 20th century artists including Gauguin and Picasso to produce a mural to be put up on the walls of the school hall.
The mural is a bright, colourful piece made up of eight large panels that are to be a permanent feature at the school.
No Added Sugar, based at Purton, has worked with people of all ages and abilities and offer a wide range of activities to schools.
Many artists can be used to form the foundation of the work done in schools, including Picasso, Paul Klee, Georges Seurat and Kandinsky.
As well as week-long projects in schools the group does workshops and assemblies and also offers training to teachers.
For further details about the work the group does call (01793) 772088.
