SWINDON and District Men's Bowling Association returned to winning ways with a fine team performance against Filkins and Porter.
They beat the combined Oxfordshire side by 28 shots when running out 135-107 victors at Haydon Wick.
S&D took the honours on five of the six rinks with the rink skipped by Tony Bluett making home advantage count to record the biggest winning margin with 18 shots.
One of the highlights of the match was the excellent bowling of 13-year-old Paul Stokes from the Highworth club who bowled a good line and length throughout and looks to have a fine future ahead of him in the sport.
