IN reply to Miss Packer's letter (EA, May 28), my husband and I visit Coate Water most days, often with our grandchildren.
I feel parents should be responsible for their children, making sure they are safe when visiting places with deep lakes.
If Miss Packer stopped and took a good look around her she would see what an abundance of wildlife there is at Coate Water. We've had the pleasure of watching Roe deer, buzzards, tawny owls and bats.
Only last night, May 27, we were stood watching a pair of woodpeckers feeding their young in a hole in a tree.
So, stop moaning Miss Packer, and enjoy the lovely countryside we are so lucky to have on our doorstep.
