WESTLECOT'S rink of Neil Hope, Ian Jefferies, Mel Biggs and Mark Dyer will represent Wiltshire in this year's National Inter-County Top Four competition.
They will face the winners of the Devon and Hererfordshire match. The date and venue to be arranged depending on the result of the first round tie.
Dyer's rink earned the right to represent Wiltshire after winning a play-off showdown staged at Wootton Bassett.
They had to come from behind to beat Barry Sictorness (Wootton Bassett), Graham Shadwell (Spencer Moulton), Neil Smith (WB) and Steve Warren (Westlecot) 25-18.
The showdown was dominated by Warren's rink in the early stages.
They went ahead on the third end and had moved into an 11-6 lead after nine ends.
But then Dyer's quartet hit back and a run of 4, 3, and two singles only punctuated by a one for Warren on the 12th end saw Dyer go 15-12 up.
A two on the 15th for Warren reduced the gap to 15-14. But on the next two ends Dyer picked up six shots.
Warren's rink hit back again with a 4 on the 18th to only trail 21-18.
However, the Westlecot quartet of Hope, Jefferies, Biggs and Dyer then closed out the match winning the last three ends for a 25-18 victory.
SWINDON & District representative mixed side were in awesome form, recording a massive 79-shot victory at Marlborough.
Isle of Wight Civil Service mixed team were sunk without trace as S&D registered a thumping 158-79 success.
