TROWBRIDGE Wanderers snatched the Mid Wilts Youth title in the most dramatic of circumstances with victory over chief rivals Green Baize.
Hosts Trowbridge had to claim three points to overhaul the Swindon club at the top of the under 11 table, and they did so with virtually the last kick of the game.
Kyle Norris' late volley sealed a 2-1 win to hand Trowbridge the title on goal difference.
The home side were on course to take the championship after 20 minutes when Jordan Moore scored with a crisp strike.
With 10 minutes to go, the championship was within Green Baize's grasp when Will Evans levelled following good work from Billy Bodin.
A draw would have been enough for Green Baize, but as the game drifted into stoppage time there was a final twist in the title race.
Wanderers were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box and Danny Tallentire's sweet delivery was tucked away by Norris.
GREEN Baize will aim to bounce back this summer at the Umbro International Tournament. The competition, to be held at Manchester University in July, will see youth teams from all over the world compete for silverware.
