A COMPUTER project run by a Swindon-based charity has been shortlisted for a national award.
The SCAMP project helps provide computer equipment for disabled people to use in their own homes and provides the training to use it.
The project aims to help the disabled community to communicate with each other, exchange ideas and support each other.
Since it was launched in 1997, SCAMP has helped more than 550 people.
And now it is one of 100 projects nominated for the eWell-Being Awards, held for the second year, the first accolade to identify and promote the environmental, economic and social benefits of Information Technology.
Winning projects will be announced at an awards ceremony in London's Living Room at City Hall, the home of the London Mayor and London Assembly next Tuesday.
